WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.
Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.
You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each few weeks.
The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are functional items that are used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will display the item's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.
Many locations have upgraders for their items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the chance to obtain an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades must be acquired through a variety of means, which is both an improvement but also a drawback.
In Season 3, the upgrade system has been tweaked a bit, with several new features added. Once an upgrade has been completed to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This applies even if the items are from an entirely different set of equipment.
The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
Players have a variety of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. They can use Flightstones which are a common upgrade currency available to everyone players, or crests that are more specific and used to upgrade specific levels of the item. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the kind of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of all difficulties for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't too difficult, but the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. For example, once an item reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. visit this backlink allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they only have one use. For instance it's best to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the best gear you have available and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to create. This is especially true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
