World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade equipment that they already own. This can be done by any item upgrader NPC.
Generally, upgrades increase an item's main stat and can give it extra benefits, based on the item type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs and Goldwrap for build casters.
Armour
Armour is among the main factors that keep Link protected from injury in all situations. While it cannot be upgraded like weapons, it can still be improved in a variety of ways to increase its defence capabilities.
Armour is designed to protect animals and people from harm or injury regardless of whether it's a direct physical attack or from a variety of activity or environmental hazards. In the past, armour was typically made from fabric or leather, but later metal protections were also utilized, especially in military applications such as heavy cavalry or combat drones.
There are many ways to upgrade armour, however, the majority require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique level of upgrades and more will provide higher levels of protection, and requiring a higher cost in rupees and other materials to unlock.
First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been applied, they can't be removed unless you own another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. You should only apply most powerful upgrades to your equipment and make sure that you have all the components needed to complete the process.
In terms of acquiring the required upgrade components to upgrade your character, they are available all over Hyrule such as merchants, shrines as well as enemies. They'll usually be identified with an gold circle or blue triangle symbol and are available in large numbers as you move through the game. They may appear randomly but there is a possibility that getting certain upgrades will trigger a quest that will reward you with even more.

There are weapons upgrade components scattered across the globe and from the hands of enemies or purchased from merchants. Upgrade components are made up of ingredients that you can put into weapons, armors trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets to earn an attribute bonus. They require equipment to be of a certain level to allow the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same manner as other items.
Upgrades are a mix of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They can be used to boost the effectiveness of weapons and increase their scaling with other stats. They can be found among enemies dropped in the open world, purchased from certain merchants or found through drops during combat.
There are two NPCs who can upgrade your weapons: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
Prioritize upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you won't replace soon. If you're planning on playing a melee build, for example upgrade your weapon first, then your chest and shoulders, then your feet and hands. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. However, depending on your playstyle, some specific items are more useful than others. Armour is not any different, with some refining better than others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one magic item. If an upgrade project is canceled, no further upgrades will be made for the item. Magic items that are upgraded will cost twice the gold they would normally cost to create or purchase however, they also offer additional benefits.
A magical item is any item with special properties or effects. These items are mostly weapons, but they could also be armors, shields, cloaks and potions. They can also be rings, scrolls, or other items. Some of these items are telepathic.
The majority of magic items can be upgraded to be infused with additional abilities. This makes them more useful to a player or help players overcome difficult situations. A weapon that contains an ingredient that is unique could offer, for instance, additional damage against a specific type of enemy. This is especially useful for characters who have reached a point at which they'll likely encounter the same kind of monster repeatedly in dungeons.
A ring that is infused can grant the ability to resist piercing, bludgeoning or slashing injuries from nonmagical attacks (not including silver-plated ones) until the next time the character takes a long rest. This is particularly useful for combatants who are melee or anyone who wants to avoid purchasing an armor.
Certain objects with enchanted properties have special abilities that allow the character to cast spells that aren't in their list of classes. This can be useful for characters who have trouble filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These items with enchanted abilities typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check prior to use them, and the spell's effectiveness is determined by rolling on a table based on the number of Intelligence points expended.
Other enchanted objects might allow the character's appearance be changed, or they could even create a brand new one. These items can be especially beneficial for characters who have been forced to leave their home or in a location where they may not be accepted. A magical item could provide them with invisibility or make them invisible for everyone, except for the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are products that do not fit into the categories of clothing, armor or Weapons and have a range of different capabilities. Utility items are not compatible with each other, unlike Armor or Weapons. Most utility items provide an effect that a player can activate by using them however, some come with additional capabilities that are triggered when the user presses an action button or activates the ability.
Generally, the most common type of utility item is the Flashlight, which illuminates the surrounding area. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player float in mid-air while moving, and the Jetpack which allows him to accelerate in any directions while on the ground. In the Engineering section you can quickly create a variety of utility items, while others are unlocked by Research projects or Experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items available in the regular inventory, players can also obtain additional useful items of utility by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded for more efficient use.
Most utility items increase an individual combat ability or give the player a kind of advantage when it comes to navigation. For instance, sharpening stones created by the Weaponsmith boost Ferocity and Power as well as Maintenance Oils created by the Huntsman improve the concentration and healing power. Other items that are useful can be utilized by players to increase Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers can be equipped with a useful item at the beginning of the campaign.
